Description

Gift with warranty from Thomas earl of Warwick to Henry del Lee, for homage and service, of six acres of land from his heath lying between the land which the said Henry held by the gift of Henry the grantor's father on one side and between Salkwey and the road which leads from Betlesworth' towards Henleye on the other; to hold the same rendering annually 12 pence (2 terms); and for this the said Henry gives 8 shillings. Witnesses: Sir John de Durevassal', Robert de Holehal', William le Archer, Richard 'Dispensario', Richard Goer, Robert de Crowenhal', Roger de Sydenhal' and others. Seal on tag, circular, white, incomplete and defaded. A knight on horseback with sword in hand. Endorsed: i) Pro Henrico de Lee hec carta continens sex acras terre [added later] facta per Thomam comitem filium Henrici. ii) 21. Of the fyrste rolle iii) coppyd Latin, parchment 61/4 x 3 ins.
