Description

Lease for 10 years with warranty from John Archar of Thownwhorthe esquire to Harr' Seyll' of the same of 3 crofts of land and 2 meadows which formerly belonged to Morres and 2 fields formerly belonging to Swanes; to hold from the feast of the Purification of Our Lady [2 February] next for the term of 10 years at the annual rent of 26s. 8d. to be paid at Midsummer and at All Hallows [1 November]; the said John Archer to have the right of distraint if the said rent was unpaid or in arrears at any of the said terms, and the right of re-entry if there was not sufficient distraint or the said rent was unpaid or in arrears for one day beyond any of the said terms; the said Harr' was not to fell any wood, 'lopps' nor 'shredes' except to maintain the fences or hedges of the said pastures and meadows during the said term.
