Wolverton and Tardebigge

Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 14th March 1743 between John Palmer of the Middle Temple, London esquire of the 1st part, Thomas Ward the elder of Warwick mercer of the 2nd part, John Dakeyne of New Inn, Middlesex gentleman of the 3rd part and George Butter of Warwick gentleman of the 4th part whereby a messuage or house with appurtenances situate at Bentley Pauncefoot in the Parish of Tardebigge, Worcestershire theretofore in the possession of John Cartwright together with stables, barns, appurtenances etc. and several closes enjoyed with the said messuage called Perrymill Close, Bean Close, the Further Close, two parcels called the Ruddings, one other close called the Hill then divided into two parts, the Further Ox Leasowe, the Great Meadow and Over Close, also another messuage with appurtenances in Bentley Green in the said Parish together with 9 acres of pasture to the last mentioned messuage belonging and also the Lands Waste in the said Parish called Bentley Pouncefort Green also a messuage or cottage called Hacketts Hall and one little close adjoining containing an acre in the occupation of William Geens with appurtenances also a meadow in Wolverton called Town Meadow theretofore in the occupations of Thomas Stanton, Samuel Cox and William Parkes and then of Thomas Walford together with appurtenances were conveyed in consideration of £800 paid by Thomas Ward and of 5/- paid by John Dakeyne, to John Dakeyne and his heirs as to the hereditaments in Tardebigge to the use that John Dakayne should be Tenant for the purpose of suffering a Common Recovery, and that George Butter at the cost of John Palmer should be Plaintiff in such action, such Recovery to enure to the use of Thomas Ward for a term of 1000 years and thereafter to the use of John Palmer and his heirs provided that such terms of 1000 years should determine upon repayment of the sum of £800 and interest by Thomas Ward.
