Assignment from Henry Sommerland of Sheldon yeoman to Simon Archer of Tanworth gentleman for £30 of a lease, dated 2 April 6 James I, from Sir edward Mountfort of Bescote, Staffordshire, knight to the said Henry of a messuage called Pages with leasows, meadows and pastures in Tanworth and a pasture called Connye land in the same in the tenure of Richard varnam of Tanworth, to hold for 21 years, rendering annaully £2; to hold for the remainder of the said term at the said rent. Signed: Henry Sommerland. Dated 1 September 1611. Witnesses to signing and delivery by the said Henry to William Bull for the use of the said Simon: William Bull, Josias Bull, George Allen. Circular seal of red wax through paper, 1/2 in., on a heart shaped shield, 4 crosses, the shield supported by 4 hands. English, paper, 16.25 x 12 ins., indented.
