Description

Assignment from Richard Archer of Tonworthe county Warr' esquire to Ralph Garland' of the same yeoman under a lease from William Busshe gentleman to the said Richard of lands in Tonworthe from 2 February last for the term of 21 years of his lease of 2 crofts and a meadow called Pynkescroft in Tonworthe, lying in length from Knoberry crosse to the land of ?John Chamber, and all the arable land of the said William Busshe in the common field of Tonworthe called Heynfyld; to hold to the said Ralph and Joyce his wife from 2 February last for 20 years at the annual rent of 10s. [2 terms], the said Richard to have the right of distraint after 4 weeks and the right of re-entry after 6 weeks for non-payment or arrears; the said Ralph and Joyce to have sufficient hedgebote to maintain the hedges and inclosures of the said land, the said Richard being bound in the penal sum of £4 to save the said Ralph and Joyce harmless against all claims of the said William Busshe and the said Ralph and Joyce having no right to assign the said property except to Richard Edwardes of Tonworthe husbandman to whom they had assigned the said property if they died within the said 20 years.
