Description

Feoffment with warranty from Robert Throkmerton knight lord of the manor of Tonworthe county Warr' to Edward Holiocke of Tonworthe yeoman for £32 of one messuage in Tonworthe with a garden and orchard adjacent to the said messuage, 100 acres of arable land and pasture, 30 acres of meadow in Tonworthe adjacent to the said messuage, lying in breadth to the south to the land of William Sheldon esquire and Joan Wryght called le More medowe and the Barne croft and to the north extending as far as the highway called Lovet Lane, and in length to the east as far as the land of Thomas Ilshawe called Baches and on the west as far as the mill of John Fulwood the younger called Tonworthe myll and the land of John Fulwood called le Myll pole medowe; also a meadow in Tonworthe called Hall Bottes containing 4 acres extending in length to the south as far as Hall Bottes grene and to the north as far as the land of Robert Throkmerton called Barne yeords, and in breadth to the east to the land of the said John Fulwood called Bykerscrofte and on the west to the land of John Wheler called Stonyfylde; also a parcel of land in Tonworthe containing one acre, extending in breadth to the north as far as the land of Humphrey Acher esquire and to the south to a lane called Lovet Lane, and in length to the east as far as the land of John Wheler called Lovet field and on the west as far as Hall Bottes grene, excepting the stream coming from the said mill through the land and meadow in the usual place; to hold to the said Edward, Margaret his wife and their lawful issue, or in default successively to Thomas, John and James, brothers of the said Edward, Alice Kem, wife of Richard Kem, and Robert Atwood and their lawful issue in turn, or in default to the right heirs of the said Edward; to hold from the said Robert as of his manor of Tonworthe by service, heriot, suit of court, view of frankpledge and court baron twice a year, and relief when due for the annual rent of 32s.
