Attested copies of Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 18th January 1817 between William Marshall of Little Alne, Aston Cantlow yeoman of the 1st part, William Welch Lea of Henley-in-Arden gentleman of the 2nd part, Thomas Stanton of Leamington Priors yeoman of the 3rd part, Thomas Lea of Henley-in-Arden gentleman of the 4th part and Thomas Chambers of Henley-in-Arden tanner - Joseph Smith of Beaudesert maltster of the 5th part whereby property in Little Alne aforesaid and Snitterfield more particularly described therein was conveyed by William Marshall to Thomas Chambers and Joseph Smith to the uses of the said Thomas Chambers and Joseph Smith upon trust to permit William Marshall to enjoy the before mentioned premises and receive the rents and profits until 25th March 1817 and so to continue if he paid the several sums of £100, £110 and £208 to William Welch Lea, Thomas Stanton and Thomas Lea respectively and in case of default to sell the property, and after satisfaction of the debts owed to pay the residue to William Marshall. Signed and sealed by William Marshall, William Welch Lea, Thomas Stanton, Thomas Lea, Thomas Chambers and Joseph Smith in the presence of Samuel Ward and William Morgan, clerks to Messrs. Lea solicitors, Henley-in-Arden. Lease dated 17th January 1817 by William Marshall to Thomas Chambers and Joseph Smith of the same property for one year. Signed and sealed by William Marshall in the presence of the same witnesses.
