Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 25th November 1775 between Thomas Farr of Snitterfield victualler and Nathaniel Rouse Farr of Snitterfield yeoman (eldest son and heir of the said Thomas Farr and Sarah his late wife deceased, which Sarah was one of the nieces and co-heiresses of William Rouse deceased) of one part and William Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the other part whereby the property described in DR38/460 DR38/477 was mortgaged by Thomas Nathaniel rouse Farr to William Hunt for £80 (by conveyance of the Fee Simple subject to the proviso for redemption). Signed Thomas Farr and Nathaniel rouse Farr. Seal, a stork. Witnessed by Joseph Harding and William Loggin. Lease dated 24th November 1775 by Thomas Nathaniel rouse Farr to William Hunt of the same premises for one year. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before. Bills of William Lyndon for £24-18-8 received of W. James attorney 30th November 1775. John Payton junior for £3-14-0 received by John Payton junior. Receipt dated 12th April 1766 for £3 paid by Thomas Farr for 12 perches of ground to the Earl of Coventry. A statement of expenditure of the principal sum borrowed on the above (£80).
