Letters patent being an exeplification at the request of Andrew Archer esquire of the inquisition post mortem of John Archer who died 24 December 11 Henry VIII [1519] seised of the manor of Monkespath' in Tonworth' containing 4 messuages, 50 acres of land, 60 acres of meadow, 200 acres of pasture, £7. 8s. rent, 100 acres of wood and 20 acres of waste in the said manor, the manor of Botley in Wawwens' Wotton' with 100 acres of land, 100 acres of meadow, 70 acres of pasture, 20 acres of wood and 3 pastures called Newland', Birdland' and Master William Heth' in Tonworth' containing 100 acres of land, 200 acres of meadow and 200 acres of wood, also 100 acres of land, 100 acres of pasture, 70 acres of meadow and 20 acres of wood in Botley, with all of which he had enfeoffed Richard Nevill' knight, Lord de Latymer, Hugh Conwey knight, Richard Emson, Edward Belknapp' knight, Humphrey Stafford', Robert Morgan', Richard Huband, esquires, and Richard Poynons to hold to the use of John Archer, son and heir of the said John Archer, and Margaret his wife, the daughter of Humphrey Stafford, and their lawful heirs; also of the inquisition post mortem of John Archer, son and heir of the said John Archer, who died 16 April 12 Henry VIII [1521] seised of the manor of Monkespath' in Tonworth' with the capital messuage called Umbreslade in Tonworth' with 100 acres of land, 40 acres of pasture, 30 acres of meadow, 40 acres of wood and £10 rent in Tonworth' and 6 messuages with 200 acres of land, 100 acres of pasture, 60 acres of meadow and 40 acres of wood in Tonworth', which lands descended to Richard Archer, son and heir of the said John Archer, the manor of Botley in Wawens Wotton' with 100 acres of land, 100 acres of pasture, 60 acres of meadow and 200 acres of wood with 5 pastures called Newlonde, Budlond', Budlede, Mayster William Heth' and Appultons' in Tonworth' containing 100 acres of land, 20 acres of meadow and 20 acres of wood, with which manor and pastures the said John Archer, son of John Archer, 4 September 19 Henry VII [1503] enfeoffed Richard Nevylle knight, Lord Latymer, Hugh Conwey knight, Richard Emcon', Edward Belknap', knight, Humphrey Stafford', Robert Morgan', Richard Hubande, esquires, and Richard Poyner, to hold to the use of the said John and Margaret and their lawful heirs.
