Description

Indenture dated 14th September 1843 between Henry Smith of Snitterfield esquire of the 1st part, Robert Philips of the Park, Prestwich, Lancashire esquire of the 2nd part and John Reid of Newland, Gloucestershire gentleman of the 3rd part whereby Henry Smith conveyed his life interest and covenanted to convey the reversions of certain property called the White Horse Inn and other messuage in Snitterfield described in DR 38/460, DR 38/477 - DR 38/500 to Robert Philips for £1490. Covenant by the said Henry Smith that if any child etc. becoming entitled to the Fee Simple refused to convey it to the said Robert Philips a sum of £500 should be paid to the said Robert Philips as liquidated damages.
