Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 6th February 1741 between Mary Eyres of Whitnash widow of one part and Thomas Farr of Berkswell baker of the other part whereby a moiety or half of the property described in DR38/460 DR38/477 was conveyed by Mary Eyres (as co-heiress with Sarah, wife of Thomas Farr, to William Rouse, see DR38/477) to Thomas Farr for £40. Signed Mary Eyres. Seal of red wax, crest a crowned globe flanked by flaming hearts. Witnessed by George Warde, by the mark of Sarah Arnold and by Jo. Benton. Lease dated 5th February 1741 by Mary Eyres to Thomas Farr of the same property for one year. Signed Mary Eyres and Thomas Farr. Seals of red wax 1) as before, 2) damaged, crest a sheaf of corn with lion on sinister side motto .... Optima. Witnessed as before.
