Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 25th may 1778 between William Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the 1st part, Nathaniel Rouse Farr of Snitterfield yeoman (eldest son and heir of Thomas Farr late of Snitterfield victualler deceased by Sarah, his late wife also deceased, which said Sarah was one of the co-heiresses of William Rouse deceased) of the 2nd part and Henry Smith of Snitterfield gentleman of the 3rd part whereby the property described in DR38/460 DR38/477 was mortgaged by Nathaniel Rouse Farr to Henry Smith in consideration of £80 paid to William Hunt in discharge of the mortgage described in DR38/491 and a further £20 advanced to him Nathaniel Rouse Farr by Henry Smith (conveyance by William Hunt, at the direction of Nathaniel Rouse Farr, to Henry Smith in Fee Simple subject to the proviso for redemption). Signed William Hunt and Nathaniel Rouse Farr. Seal, a stork. Witnessed by Joseph Harding and Robert Croft, clerks to Mr. Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon. Lease dated 24th May 1778 by Nathaniel Rouse Farr and William Hunt to Henry Smith of the same property for one year. Signed William Hunt and Nathaniel rouse Farr. Seal, a stork. Bond dated 25th May 1778 by Nathaniel Rouse Farr to Henry Smith for £100 and to perform the covenants of Mortgage. Signed Nathaniel Rouse Farr. Sealed and witnessed as before.
