Description
Indenture dated 22nd September 1860 between Henry Smith of Snitterfield esquire of the 1st part, Richard Smith of the same place esquire, eldest son and heir apparent of the said Henry Smith of the 2nd part and Mark Philips esquire of the same place of the 3rd part. Reciting the Will of Richard Smith the elder deceased (see DR 38/501), it was witnessed that a plot of land containing 474 square yards called Frogmere Yard (see plan in Deed) was conveyed by the persons of the 1st and 2nd parts to Mark Philips in fee simple for £20 and enrolled in Chancery (in order to bar the estate tail of Richard Smith, being also a disentailing assurance).
