Snitterfield

Description

Indenture dated 15th May 1848 between Henry Eddins of Snitterfield maltster and Ann, his wife of the 1st part, Henry Smith of the same place esquire of the 2nd part and Henry Best Sowden of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the 3rd part. Reciting that Thomas Jordan died in February 1845 and was buried at Handsworth and that Ann Talliss was then the wife of Henry Eddins, it was thereby witnessed that Henry Ann Eddins conveyed the property described in DR 38/671 less portions sold to Robert Philips (see DR 38/673), to Henry Smith for £90. Signed Henry Eddins, Ann Eddins and Henry Best Sowden. Common wax stamp seal. Witnessed by John H. Godfrey, clerk to Messrs. Umbers and Sowden solicitors, Stratford-upon-Avon. Endorsed with an acknowledgement by Ann Eddins of her act and deed before Robert Bell Wheeler and Henry Hunt Commissioners. Certificate of the same date of Acknowledgement by Ann Eddins (a married woman) of the above Indenture. Signed Robert Bell Wheeler and Henry Oldaker Hunt.
