Indenture dated 1st February 1839 between Richard Smith of Snitterfield esquire and Robert Philips of The Park, Prestwich, Manchester esquire whereby Richard Smith in consideration of £271-2-0 conveyed to Richard Philips the tithes of corn and grain issuing out of the farms belonging to Robert Philips called Wayfield Farm and Hither End Farm (formerly in the occupation of Richard Spark and William Peate and then of James Carter Abbotts and Robert Hancox) also of the rent charge of £1-17-6 issuing out of Briery Lands Farm.
