Description

Copy Will of Joseph Brookes of Wolverton victualler whereby he gave all his personal estate to his wife Jane Ann Brookes absolutely and he devised all his real estate to the use of his wife for life, subject to encumbrances and after her decease to the use of his nephews Thomas [?Brookes] and Henry Samuel Gibbs (the sons of the Testator's late sister Caroline wife of Samuel Gibbs) and his niece Elizabeth Ann Gibbs (daughter of his sister Harriet wife of Thomas Gibbs) equally as tenants in common in fee simple with cross remainders in the event of any dying before the death of the Testator's wife to the survivors and in the event of all dying to Testator's right heirs and he appointed his wife his sole Executrix. Testator died 7th February 1854 and the Will was proved in the Consistory Court of Worcester on 19th August 1854 sworn under £200.
