Description

Indenture of Assignment between John Branston Freer esquire, Thomas Tasker gentleman and Robert Bell Wheler gentleman all of Stratford-upon-Avon of the 1st part, Charles Thomas Warde late of Welcombe Lodge but then of Clopton House esquire of the 2nd part, Mark Philips of the Park, Prestwich, Lancashire and also of Snitterfield esquire of the 3rd part and Henry Best Sowden of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the 4th part. Reciting DR 38/1153, DR 38/1156, DR 38/1161, DR 38/1162 DR 38/1166, it was witnessed that in consideration of 10/- paid to the persons of the 1st part by Henry Best Sowden, they the said persons of the 1st part, i.e. John Branston Freer, Thomas Tasker and Robert Bell Wheler (at the direction of Charles Thomas Warde and Mark Philips) assigned to Henry Best Sowden the term of 1000 years limited by DR 38/1162 in the premises described in DR 38/1145 DR 38/1166 upon trust to attend the inheritance of Mark Philips and it was also agreed that the said Henry Best Sowden should be possessed of the other term of 1000 years limited by DR 38/1153 upon a like trust.
