Description

Copy Will of Sir Hugh Clopton of Stratford-upon-Avon knight whereby he bequeathed to his son-in-law and daughter Thomas Boothby Skrymsher and Ann his wife £50 for buying mourning also to his servants Samuel Tomes £5 and to Thomas Vigers £10 and all his wearing apparel (linen excepted) which he gave to Catherine Clapp his housekeeper together with £20 and he gave certain sums to the Parish of Stratford-upon-Avon and he devised and bequeathed all the residue of his real and personal estate to his son-in-law Henry Talbot esquire subject to payment of debts etc. and also appointed Henry Talbot his executor. Witnessed by Henry Turbitt, Samuel Tissell and John Smith. Proved 2nd January 1752 at London by Henry Talbot esquire Executor.
