Description

Indenture between Dorothy Williams of Little Wolford widow (one of the daughters and co-heiress of Phillip Cale late of Stratford-upon-Avon innholder deceased, who was the eldest brother of William Cale late of Clifford Chambers yeoman deceased) of one part and Mary Cooper of the City of London widow (another daughter and co-heiress of Phillip Cale etc.) of the other part whereby Dorothy Williams covenanted and agreed with Mary Cooper that she the said Mary Cooper should be seised in severalty in certain hereditaments in Welford and a messuage, garden and close in Clifford Chambers then in the possession of Christopher Hiron and the hereditaments described in DR 38/1202 DR 38/1207 and whereby also Mary Cooper covenanted and agreed with Dorothy Williams that she Dorothy Williams should be seised in severalty of the remainder of the hereditaments of the late John Cale in Clifford Chambers (more particularly therein described). Signed by the mark of Dorothy Williams. Witnessed by Joseph Hunt, Elizabeth Hunt, Mary Hunt, Edward Pittway and William Howe. N.B. The Counterpart of this, bearing the signature of Mary Cooper would go with Clifford Chambers title.
