Attested Copy indenture between William Cale of Clifford Chambers yeoman of the one part and John Hollyocke of Moreton Baggott yeoman and Thomas Cooper of Henley-in-Arden yeoman of the other part whereby William Cale in consideration of £200 received as the Marriage Portion of Katherine his then wife as also for the natural love and affection he bore to John, Sarah and Hannah Cale (children of the said William and Katherine Cale), he the said William Cale granted to John Hollyocke and Thomas Cooper and their heirs his messuage in Clifford Chambers and messuages tenements and hereditaments in the Common Fields of Clifford Chambers together with one yard land therein (purchased by him of Henry Rainsford esquire) then in his occupation also a messuage and half yard land in Clifford Chambers theretofore purchased by him of Jeremy Browne and Nicholas Welch also a close in the same place with appurtenances also a moiety or half part of one yard land in the said Common Fields of Clifford Chambers theretofore purchased by him of George and Edward Browne also a half quarter of a yard land in Clifford Chambers theretofore purchased by him of Humphrey Silvester also a messuage, orchard, garden and close situate in the Church End in Welford, Gloucestershire, 11 arable lands with appurtenances in the Common Fields of Welford theretofore purchased by him of Robert Langley Elizabeth his wife and Edward Howes Mary his wife also 3 closes in Welford called Hall's Close, Styles Close and the Height and 11 lands of arable and 2 plots of hedging with appurtenances in the Common Fields of Welford theretofore purchased by him of William Essell Elizabeth his wife and Thomas Lowe also the hereditaments purchased by the Grantor by DR 38/1202 DR 38/1207 to the use of William Cale for life, remainder to the use of the said John Cale for his life, remainder to the use of the heirs of the body of John Cale and in default to the use of William Cale and his heirs for ever. Witnessed by William Lawrence, Edward Greene and Thomas Underhill. Attested by Joseph Hunt and William Howe.
