Attested Copy Indenture of Assignment between David Thomas of Cursitors Street, Middlesex, gentleman, surviving Executor of the Will of Mary Jones late of the Parish of St. George, Hanover Square, Middlesex spinster deceased, which said Mary Jones was sole Executrix of the Will of Mary Jones widow (her mother) late of the same place deceased of the 1st part, Catherine Edwin of Bedford spinster, niece and Executrix of the Will of Humphrey Edwin late of the Parish of St. George, Hanover Square, Middlesex deceased of the 2nd part, Peter Hind of Theobalds, Hertfordshire esquire Lewis way of Richmond, Surrey esquire, surviving Executors of the Will of John Edwin late of the Parish of St. George, Hanover Square, Middlesex esquire deceased of the 3rd part, Henry Talbot of the same Parish esquire of the 4th part, Francis Gastrell clerk Vicar of Frodsham, Cheshire of the 5th part, Daniel Ashley of Frodsham aforesaid gentleman of the 6th part, William Lowndes of Frodsham aforesaid gentleman of the 7th part, Joseph Harrison of Frodsham aforesaid gentleman of the 8th part and George Huxley of Overton, Frodsham aforesaid yeoman of the 9th part. Reciting DR 38/1179, DR 38/1181, DR 38/1182 DR 38/1184, it was thereby witnessed that David Thomas in consideration of £4109-9-0 to him paid by Francis Gastrell (at the direction of Henry Talbot) and in consideration of 5/- to him paid by Daniel Ashley assigned to Daniel Ashley the residue of the term of 1000 years in the premises described in DR 38/1179 in trust to attend the inheritance of Francis Gastrell and it was further witnessed that David Thomas in consideration of 5/- paid to him by William Lowndes assigned to William Lowndes the residue of a term of 500 years in the premises referred to in DR 38/1173 and limited to Mary Jones widow and Mary Jones spinster by Henry Talbot by an Indenture dated 27th May 1754 as security for £700 in trust to attend the inheritance of Francis Gastrell and that the said Catherine Edwin in consideration of 5/- to her paid by Joseph Harrison assigned to Joseph Harrison the residue of the term of 99 years assigned to Humphrey Edwin by DR 38/1180 in trust to attend the inheritance of Francis Gastrell and that the said Peter Hind and Lewis Way in consideration of 5/- apiece to them paid by George Huxley assigned to George Huxley the residue of the several terms of 500 and 300 years assigned to John Edwin by DR 38/1181 in trust to attend the inheritance of Francis Gastrell. Witnessed by John Aston, Thomas Briggs (servant to Mr. Talbot), Philip Rowdeor, Kings Arms Tavern, Exchange Alley, John Thomas (servant to Mr. Thomas), John Jackson (servant to Mrs. Edwin), D. Brodie and William Bird. Endorsed on the back dated 2nd May 1793 with Attested Copy Indenture of Mortgage between Francis Ashley of Frodsham, Cheshire gentleman and Ann Ashley of the same place widow, surviving Executrix of the Will of Robert Wainwright Ashley late of Park Place, Frodsham gentleman deceased who was surviving Executor named in the Will of Daniel Ashley deceased of the 1st part, the above mentioned Joseph Harrison then the Reverend Joseph Harrison of Overton in the Parish of Frodsham clerk of the 2nd part, Joseph Huxley of Eccleston, Cheshire yeoman surviving Executor of the above named George Huxley of the 3rd part, Thomas Hinckley and Francis Robinson both of Lichfield gentlemen, devisees in trust named in the Will of Jane Gastrell late of Stow, Lichfield widow deceased, of the 4th part, George Lloyd of Welcombe Lodge esquire of the 5th part, Digby Smith of the Thything of Wistones in the Parish of Claines, Worcestershire clerk of the 6th part, Thomas Bird of Worcester gentleman of the 7th part and Robert Green of the Parish of St. Clement, Worcester gentleman of the 8th part. Reciting the death of Francis Gastrell having by his Will dated 2nd October 1768 devised the premises therein mentioned to Jane his widow and reciting the death of Jane Gastrell who by her Will dated 31st May 1790 devised to Thomas Huxley Francis Robinson the said premises therein mentioned upon trust for sale and reciting that Thomas Huxley Francis Robinson contracted to sell the premises to George Lloyd, it was thereby witnessed that Francis and Ann Ashley in consideration of 5/- to them paid by Digby Smith at the direction of Thomas Huxley, Francis Robinson and George Lloyd assigned to Digby Smith the term of 1000 years in the premises referred to above and assigned to Daniel Ashley (except 8 closes called Sally Closes) in trust for George Lloyd and it was further witnessed that Joseph Harrison in consideration of 5/- to him paid by Thomas Bird at the direction of Thomas Huxley, Francis Robinson and George Lloyd assigned to Thomas Bird the term of 99 years in the premises referred to above and assigned to him by the above Indenture (except 8 closes called Sally Closes) in trust for George Lloyd and it was further witnessed that Joseph Huxley in consideration of 5/- to him paid by Robert Green assigned to Robert Green the terms of 500 years and 300 years in premises referred to above and assigned to George Huxley by the above Indenture (except 8 closes called Sally Closes) in trust for George Lloyd. Witnessed by William Caldwell, John Garner, Edward Simpson and William Oakey junior. Attested 4th April 1845 by Edward Jellicoise and Matthew Marshall, clerks to Messrs. Cunliffes, Charlewood Bury solicitors, Manchester.
