Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 11th February 1768 between Henry Bagshaw Harrison of Daventry, Northamptonshire gentleman of the 1st part, Samuel Montgomery of Daventry gentleman of the 2nd part and John Payton of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman William Bradford of Ingon gentleman of the 3rd part whereby Henry Bagshaw Harrison and Samuel Montgomery in consideration of £3152 and 5/- paid to each of them respectively by John Payton conveyed to John Payton and William Bradford all that Manor of Welcombe with free property and appurtenances also seven yard lands lying in the Common Fields of Welcombe, Old Stratford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bishopton and Hampton Lucy theretofore in the tenure of Manley Ashwin and then of John Payton also a toft or meese place and one close then lately divided into two called Townsend's Close and Barton's Close also another close called Ley Close lying in the Common Fields aforesaid also pieces of a field called Ryan's parcel of the said yard lands theretofore in the occupation of Manley Ashwin and then of John Payton to the use of John Payton and his heirs for ever. Lease dated 10th February 1768 for one year of the same property by Henry Bagshaw Harrison Samuel Montgomery to John Payton William Bradford. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
