Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 20th July 1782 between the Reverend James Affleck of Finedon, Northamptonshire clerk, William Deacon of Daventry, Northamptonshire gentleman, Samuel Montgomery of the same place grocer Mary his wife, Henry Bagshaw Harrison of Daventry gentleman Catherine his wife and Sarah Wyment of Daventry spinster (which said James Affleck, William Deacon, Samuel Montgomery and Henry Bagshaw Harrison were Devisees, Trustees and Joint executors of the Will of Elizabeth Wyment deceased, see DR 38/1253, and the said Mary Montgomery, Catherine Harrison and Sarah Wyment were sisters and co-heiresses of the said Elizabeth Wyment) of the 1st part, John Payton of Stratford-upon-Avon innholder (only son, heir and Administrator of the goods of John Payton late of Stratford-upon-Avon innholder, his late father who died intestate) of the 2nd part and William Eaves of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the 3rd part. Reciting DR 38/1248 and reciting the Inclosure Act for the Parish of Old Stratford, Welcombe and Bishopton and the Award dated 21st James 1775 whereby certain lands described in DR 38/1268 were awarded to John Payton in lieu of seven yard lands, and reciting the Will of Elizabeth Wyment (DR 38/1253), it was thereby witnessed that in consideration of £1200 paid to James Affleck, William Deacon, Samuel Montgomery and Henry Bagshaw Harrison by William Eaves (at the direction of John Payton) and in consideration of 10/- paid to Sarah Wyment, they the said persons of the 1st part (at the direction of John Payton) conveyed to William Eaves the undivided moiety or half part of the premises described and referred to in DR 38/1245 DR 38/1257 subject to a proviso for redemption upon payment of £1200 to William eaves by John Payton. Palmer, Thomas Worley, clerk to Mr. Harrison and W. Glover, servant to Mr. Affleck. Lease dated 19th July 1782 for one year by James Affleck, William Deacon, Samuel Montgomery Mary his wife, Henry Bagshaw Harrison Catherine his wife and Sarah Wyment to William Eaves of the same property. Signed and witnessed as before. Bond dated 20th July 1781 by John Payton to William Eaves for £1200. Signed John Payton. Witnessed by W. Jem and Henry Baker.
