Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 2nd August 1773 between Richard Hanwell of Long Buckby, Northamptonshire gentleman of the 1st part, Henry Bagshaw Harrison of Daventry, Northamptonshire gentleman and James King late of Adderbury, Oxfordshire but then of Daventry, Northamptonshire gentleman of the 2nd part, Samuel Montgomery of Daventry grocer of the 3rd part, William Bradford of Ingon gentleman of the 4th part, John Lloyd of Snitterfield and Ann his wife of the 5th part and William Lucas esquire and Radclyffe Sidebottom both of the Middle Temple (Trustees named in DR 38/1266) of the 6th part. Reciting DR 38/1271 DR 38/1274, and that John Lloyd and Ann his wife had requested William Lucas and Radclyffe Sidebottom to purchase the hereditaments thereinafter mentioned in accordance of the trusts of DR 38/1266, it was witnessed that Richard Hanwell, Henry Bagshaw Harrison, James King and Samuel Montgomery, at the direction of William Bradford, in consideration of £1600 paid to Richard Hanwell, £200 paid to Henry Bagshaw and James King, 5/- paid to Samuel Montgomery and £1700 paid to William Bradford by William Lucas and Radclyffe Sidebottom (at the direction of John and Ann Lloyd) conveyed the premises described in DR 38/1268 to William Lucas and Radclyffe Sidebottom and their heirs free from incumbrances (but subject to the trusts declared in DR 38/1266). Signed by all the parties. Seal, a stork crowned. Witnessed by William Hunt, Thomas Freeman and John Deeley, servant to Mr. Hunt. Schedule of documents covenanted by Vendors to be produced. Lease dated 2nd August 1773 for one year of the same premises by Richard Hanwell, Henry Bagshaw Harrison, James King, Samuel Montgomery and William Bradford to William Lucas and Radclyffe Sidebottom. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
