Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 3rd November 1792 between Walter Landor of Warwick doctor of physic of the 1st part, George Lloyd of Worcester esquire (eldest son of John Lloyd late of Snitterfield esquire deceased, who was eldest son of George Lloyd late of Barrowby, Yorkshire esquire deceased) of the 2nd part and Theodoro Haultaine of Worcester esquire and Benjamin Pearkes of Worcester esquire of the 3rd part. Reciting a Settlement made by George Lloyd the grandfather whereby premises in Hulme, Lancashire were limited to Walter Landor (and others since deceased) to the use of the said John Lloyd for life, remainder in tail to the heirs of his body, similar remainders to the use of Gemeliel Lloyd, George Lloyd and Thomas Lloyd (second, third and fourth sons of George Lloyd the grandfather) respectively, remainder to the right heirs of George Lloyd the grandfather and reciting a Covenant by George Lloyd senior for his Executors and Administrators to pay to Walter Landor and his co-trustees £8000 within 12 months of his death in trust for such person as he, George Lloyd senior and John Lloyd should by deed jointly appoint and to pay out the said £8000 in purchase of hereditaments and to convey the same to the use of the person that the said George Lloyd senior and John Lloyd should appoint and in default of such appointment to hold the same upon the uses and trusts expressed concerning the premises at Hulme, Lancashire. Reciting the death of John Lloyd in the lifetime of George Lloyd who died in 1783 and that John Lloyd left issue 3 sons George, John Gameliel and James, and reciting that a moiety in certain hereditaments in Surrey were purchased for £1400 and conveyed to Walter Landor and his heirs, no settlement having been made and reciting DR 38/1289 and that George Lloyd party thereto was desirous that the premises in Surrey should be limited to certain uses thereinafter expressed. It was witnessed (inter alia) that in consideration of £7520 (arising from the investment and sale of the balance of the £8000) paid to George Lloyd by Walter Landor and in consideration of 10/- paid to him by Theodoro Haultaine and Ben Pearkes, he the said George Lloyd conveyed to the said Theodoro Haultaine and Benjamin Pearkes the premises referred to in DR 38/1286 (conveyed to him by DR 38/1289) to the use of George Lloyd and the heirs male lawfully begotten and in default to James Lloyd and the heirs male of his body, remainder to Gameliel Lloyd for life, remainder to the said Gameliel Lloyd and the heirs of his body, remainder to George Lloyd (uncle of the George Lloyd party thereto) for life and remainder to the heirs of his body, similar remainders to Thomas Lloyd, remainder to the right heirs of George Lloyd the grandfather. Lease dated 2nd November 1792 for one year by George Lloyd to Theodoro Haultaine and Benjamin Pearkes of the same premises. Signed George Lloyd. Sealed and witnessed as before.
