Indenture of Assignment between John Bennett Lawes of Rothamstead, Harpenden, Hertfordshire esquire of the 1st part, the Reverend Thomas Warde of Leamington clerk of the 2nd part, Charles Thomas Warde late of Welcombe Lodge but then of Clopton House esquire of the 3rd part, Mark Philips of The Park, Prestwich, Lancashire and also of Snitterfield, esquire of the 4th part, Thomas Umbers of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the 5th part and Henry Best Sowden of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the 6th part. Reciting DR38/1319 and reciting Indentures endorsed upon backs of DR38/1314, it was thereby witnessed that John Bennett Lawes in consideration of 10/- to him paid by Thomas Umbers assigned to Thomas Umbers by the direction of Charles Thomas Warde the residue of the term of 1000 years in premises described in DR38/1319 upon trust to attend the inheritance of Mark Philips in the premises, also Thomas Warde in consideration of 10/- to him paid by Henry Best Sowden assigned to Henry Best Sowden at the direction of Charles Thomas Warde the term of 1000 years in the premises described in DR38/1319 in trust to attend the inheritance.
