Attested Copy Articles of Assignment between Samuel Smith of Stratford-upon-Avon yeoman of one part and John Smith yeoman, brother of the said Samuel Smith of the other part reciting the Will of Mary Smith (DR38/1326) and that upon account being stated there was then owing to John Smith £348 by Samuel Smith, it was thereby witnessed that Samuel Smith mortgaged the property described in DR38/1322 to John Smith for £348. Witnessed by Mary Taylor and Robert Wheler. Receipt endorsed dated 1st November 1770 by John Smith of £353-12-0 in satisfaction of principal and interest of Samuel Smith. Witnessed by Dionysius Bradley. Attested 12th February 1807 by John Lane and Charles Taplin, clerks to Messrs. Hunt Hobbes, solicitors, Stratford-upon-Avon.
