Description

Copy Will of Samuel Heritage of Stratford-upon-Avon butcher whereby he directed that his wife should be permitted to occupy during her life the room over the brewhouse of his dwelling house and he devised subject to the tenancy of the said room as also an annuity given to his wife by a Marriage Settlement and also his just debts etc., his messuage in High Street, Stratford-upon-Avon then in his occupation also his farm land and premises in Old Stratford to his son John Heritage for his life with remainder to Joan, wife of the said John, for life remainder to the Testator's grandson Samuel Heritage and his heirs for ever provided that if the said Samuel Heritage should die during the lives of either John or Joan Heritage without issue, him surviving then he devised the said premises to every other child or children of the said John Heritage as Tenants in Common and he bequeathed certain articles to his wife Ann Heritage and the residue of his personal estate to the said John Heritage and appointed him his sole Executor. Witnessed by William Tasker, John Nichols and Robert Wheler. Attested 14th March 1794 by H. Lewis and C. Taplin.
