Description

Indenture of Conveyance between Charles Thomas Warde late of Welcombe Lodge but then of Clopton House esquire of the 1st part, Mark Philips of The Park, Prestwich, Lancashire and also of Snitterfield esquire of the 2nd part and John Reid of Newland Valley, Gloucestershire gentleman of the 3rd part. Reciting DR38/1379, also DR38/1306, DR38/1309, DR38/1310 DR38/1311 also that the sum of £14,000 directed to be raised by the Will of George Lloyd had been raised by Mortgage of hereditaments devised by the said Will of George Lloyd but not including any of the hereditaments thereinafter described, and that no further sum had been directed to be raised out of the hereditaments thereinafter described and reciting the death of John Galamiel Lloyd on 4th January 1837 and reciting DR38/1318, it was thereby witnessed that Charles Thomas Warde in consideration of £1980 conveyed to Mark Philips the hereditaments therein described with a Map and Schedule (consisting of a meadow called the Slingett theretofore called the Neate (see DR38/1376, DR38/1379 DR38/1380), a meadow called Heritage's Meadow and theretofore called the Foregreen and a meadow called Heritage's Field theretofore called Under Rowley (see DR38/1368, DR38/1369, DR38/1370, DR38/1372 DR38/1374). Witnessed by Henry Bury, solicitor, Manchester and Thomas Umbers, solicitor, Stratford-upon-Avon. Declaration by John Hyde of Ryon Hill, Hampton Lucy farmer as to the identity of the parcels.
