Description

Attested Copy Indenture of Covenant between Joseph Smith of Bristol merchant and Sarah his wife of one part and John Lord of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the other part reciting DR38/1399, it was thereby witnessed that in consideration of £1000 paid by John Lord to Joseph Smith in pursuance of DR38/1399, he the said Joseph Smith and Sarah his wife covenanted with John Lord to levy a fine of the premises described in DR38/1399 to the use of John Lord. Witnessed by Richard Brickdale Ward and Brooke Smith attornies, Bristol. Attested Copy of Final Agreement made in the Court at Westminster in three weeks of the Holy Trinity before John, Lord Eldon, John Heath, Giles Rooke and Alan Chambre H. M. Justices between John Lord Plaintiff and Joseph Smith Sarah his wife Deforciants of 2 cottages, 2 barns, 2 gardens, 40 acres of land and appurtenances in the Borough of Stratford-upon-Avon and in the Parish of Old Stratford. Attested 6th October 1845 by R. W. Williams and Matthew Marshall.
