Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 25th March 1771 between Samuel Heritage of Stratford-upon-Avon butcher of one part and John Lloyd of Snitterfield esquire of the other part whereby Samuel Heritage in consideration of £4-4-41/2 to him paid by John Lloyd, and also in consideration of other land thereinafter mentioned to be granted to him, Samuel Heritage by John Lloyd, conveyed to John Lloyd a parcel of land containing 1 rood and 36 perches then lately awarded to him Samuel Heritage by the Enclosure Award of Welcombe adjoining the allotment to John Lloyd and in Rowley Bank also another parcel of land containing 1 rood and 5 perches adjoining the last mentioned parcel of land also allotted to Samuel Heritage upon Enclosure, and it was further witnessed that John Lloyd granted to Samuel Heritage another parcel of land in Welcombe containing 32 perches allotted to him John Lloyd upon Enclosure of the Common Fields of Welcombe. Signed Samuel Heritage and John Lloyd. Seal, a pelican crowned. Witnessed by Joseph Harding and William Loggin, clerks to Mr. Hunt. Lease dated 24th March 1771 for one year by Samuel Heritage to John Lloyd of the property first above mentioned. Signed Samuel Heritage and witnessed as before.
