Description

Indenture of Conveyance between Charles Thomas Warde of Welcombe Lodge but then of Clopton House esquire of the 1st part, Mark Philips of The Park, Prestwich, Lancashire and also of Snitterfield esquire of the 2nd part and John Reid of Newland Valley, Gloucestershire gentleman of the 3rd part. Reciting DR38/1301 DR38/1302 whereby the premises in the map thereto coloured brown and lilac were conveyed to George Lloyd also reciting DR38/1421 and the Inclosure Award dated 1st January 1775 also reciting DR38/1328 DR38/ 1350 whereby the premises coloured yellow on the said map were conveyed to George Lloyd and reciting also that the said George Lloyd was seised of the premises on the said map coloured red at the time of making his Will dated 9th July 1831 (DR38/1306) and DR38/1309, DR38/1310, DR38/1311 DR38/1313 and reciting that John Gameliel Lloyd died on 4th June 1837 and reciting DR38/1317 DR38/1318, it was thereby witnessed that Charles Thomas Warde in consideration of £14,850 to him paid by Mark Philips conveyed to the said Mark Philips the hereditaments described therein and upon the Map and Schedule thereto (with a grant to John Reid to preserve contingent remainders). Signed Charles Thomas Warde and Mark Philips. Seals, 1) a demi-griffin engrailed 2) arms and crest of the Philips family. Witnessed by Henry Dury and Thomas Umbers.
