Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 12th March 1794 between Charles Henry Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the 1st part, Charles Pestell of Stratford-upon-Avon surgeon and Thomas Halford of Old Stratford (Trustees of the real and personal property of John Heritage of Stratford-upon-Avon butcher, see DR38/1371) of the 2nd part, the said John Heritage Jane his wife of the 3rd part and George Lloyd of Welcombe Lodge esquire of the 4th part. Reciting the Will of Samuel Heritage deceased (DR38/1368) and also DR38/1371, it was thereby witnessed that Charles Pestell and Thomas Halford in consideration of £385 paid to Charles Henry Hunt by George Lloyd at the direction of the said Charles Pestell and Thomas Halford, and in consideration of 10/- paid to John Heritage and Jane his wife, and in consideration of 5/- apiece paid to the said Charles Pestell and Thomas Halford by George Lloyd, they the said Charles Henry Hunt, Charles Pestell Thomas Halford and John Heritage Jane his wife conveyed to George Lloyd the life interests of John Heritage Jane his wife in the messuage etc. in Stratford-upon-Avon described in DR38/1369 also the field in DR38/1369 described as in the occupation of the Reverend William Loggin and then described as Under Rowley Field. Covenant by John Heritage and Jane his wife to levy a fine of the said premises. Signed Charles Henry Hunt, Charles Pestell, Thomas Halford, John Heritage and Jane Heritage. Sealed. Witnessed by J. Barnhurst and William Meyrick. Lease dated 11th March 1794 for one year of the same property by Charles Henry Hunt, John Heritage Jane his wife, Charles Pestell and Thomas Halford to George Lloyd. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
