Indenture of lease between George Lloyd of Welcombe Lodge esquire of one part and Thomas Webb of Welcombe gentleman of the other part whereby George Lloyd demised a messuage at Welcombe called The Cottage with appurtenances and several closes called Spring Hill (16 acres, 2 roods and 33 perches), Green Hill (10a-1r-10p), Castle Hill or Home Close (8a-3r-20p), Upper Meadow (10a-1r-3p), Lower Meadow (14a-2r-20p), Ingon Lane Close (6a-3r-11p), Upper Barn Close (5a-2r-20p), Lower Barn Close (5a-0r-20p), East Hill (9a-1r-20p), Plaister Pitts Ground (4 acres), Little Plaister Pitts (2a-3r-39p), West Hill (3a-1r-0p) and Walnut Tree Hill (14 acres) containing in the whole 112 acres for a term of 5 years from 29th September then last past at a yearly rent of £235-5-0.
