Description

Indenture of Bargain and Sale (Inrolled in Chancery 10th November 1797) made between Edward Cotterell esquire, Thomas Bleyney and John Byrkin Bellamy gentleman, the major part of the Commissioners named in the Commission of Bankruptcy issued against Edward Horseman John Horseman both of Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire bankers of one part and Joseph Roberts of Blockley, Worcestershire, William Phillips of Broadway, Worcestershire, John Marshall of Snowshill, Gloucestershire gentleman of the other part. Reciting that a Commission had been issued against Edward John Horseman and directed to Edward Cotterell, Thomas Blayney and John Byrkin Bellamy with William Welch and Francis Findon, with power for majority to act, it was witnessed that by virtue of the said Commission the said Edward Cotterell, Thomas Blayney and John Byrkin Bellamy conveyed to Joseph Roberts, William Phillips and John Marshall and their heirs all the hereditaments of the said Edward John Horseman in trust for all the creditors of the said Edward John Horseman (i.e. Joseph Roberts, William Phillips and John Byrkin Bellamy were created assignees in the bankruptcy of Edward John Horseman).
