Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 25th June 1765 between Isabella Gilbert of Coventry spinster of the 1st part, William Grove of Coventry (surviving devisee in trust by the Will of John Stanton late of Warwick esquire deceased), Elizabeth Stanton of Warwick widow of the said John Stanton deceased, William Stanton of Warwick esquire, eldest son and heir of John Stanton deceased, John Heylyn of Bristol esquire Elizabeth his wife, Samuel Trotman of Bicknall, Oxfordshire esquire Mary his wife, John Stanton of Coventry gentleman and Hannah Stanton of Warwick spinster (which said Elizabeth, wife of John Heylyn, Mary, wife of Samuel Trotman, John Stanton and Hannah Stanton were the younger children of John Stanton deceased) of the 2nd part and William Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman of the 3rd part. Reciting that John Stanton deceased by his Will devised to William Grove and Thomas Newsham all his Manor of Wolverton with his hereditaments therein upon certain trusts therein mentioned and reciting DR38/1047 they the said Isabella Gilbert, William Grove, Elizabeth Stanton widow, William Stanton, John Heylyn Elizabeth his wife, Samuel Trotman Mary his wife, John Stanton and Hannah Stanton conveyed to William Hunt all that Manor of Wolverton with appurtenances also a messuage with outbuildings, yards etc. together with several closes of arable, meadow and woodland lying contiguously called Blakon Farm then in the occupation of Thomas Manton also another messuage with outbuildings, yards etc. and home closes thereto belonging and all that common field farm of arable meadow and pasture lying in the Common Fields of Wolverton then also in the occupation of Thomas Manton also several chief rents etc. issuing out of lands in Wolverton, Snitterfield, Claverdon, Langley, Sherborne, Milverton and Warwick and all other hereditaments of John Stanton deceased in Wolverton (except the Advowson of the Church of Wolverton and a messuage in the occupation of the Reverend Stephen Nason with appurtenances). Witnessed by Sarah Gilbert, William Walford, Thomas Smith, clerk to Mr. Stanton, James Lambert, David Howell, Mary Gibbs and John Crutchley. Lease dated 24th June 1765 for one year of the same property between the persons of the 1st 2nd parts and William Hunt. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
