Description

Feoffment from Master William Mountfort clerk, John vicar of the church of Wellesborne, John Langeston' and Hugh Dalby to Alice wife of Thomas Clopton', daughter of Alan Lestraunge sometime lord of Walton', deceased, of the manor of Walton' Deyvill' with lands, tenements, rents, reversions and services in the vill and fields of Walton' Deyvill', Walton Mandyt, Wellesborne lestraunge and Wellesborne mountfort which the said grantors held with Thomas Aylesbury knight, now deceased, by the gift and feoffment of the said Alan [DR37/1/2794]; to hold to the said Alice and the heirs of her body for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service and in default to the right heirs of the said Alan.
