Description

Bond from Thomas Smyth the elder of Hall end' in Wotton' Wawen', husbandman, and Thomas Smyth the younger, son of the said Thomas Smyth of Hall end', husbandman, to John Fulwode the younger of Forde in Wotton' Wawen' gentleman, in the penal sum of £20 to pay to the said John Fulwode £15, £7 at the sealing of this bond, £3 at Pentecost next and £5 at Michaelmas next, being payment for a fine of a tenement of the said John Fulwode let by him to the said Thomas Smyth the younger in Lapworth. Dated: 23 April 7 Edward VI. Two circular seals of red wax on tongue, 1/2 in., the letter W surmounted by a fish. Latin and English, parchment, 101/4 x 41/2 in.
