Lease from the Rt. Hon. Ambrose, Earl of Warwick, Baron Lisle, Knight of the Garter, Master of Her Majesty's Ordynance, Chief Butler of England and one of Her Majesty's most Honourable Privy Counsellors, to Richard Carpenter of Henley in Arden miller, Margaret his wife and Anne their daughter for £20 of a tenement called the Mill howse with the corn mill and malt mill under the same roof belonging to the said tenement, situated in Henley in Townes end in the north end of the same with all watercourses etc. belonging to the said mill with a meadow called Quedge Meadowe lying in the Backfyelde of Henley between the greate Parcke of Henley on the north side of the said meadow and the land now in the tenure of Henry Wheeler on the south side, all which property is now in the tenure of the said Richard Carpenter; to hold for the lives of the said Richard, Margaret and Anne, rendering annually to the Earl of Warwick 35s. 8d.
