Description

From, Arthur Hodgson, New York to Frank Hodgson. Arthur writes that he has not really much to say. Heavy weather to New York but not as bad as he expected. Young Dr Kantzon came on board and brought some plays. They leave tomorrow at noon and expect to reach Panama on the 18th or 19th and remain there for 5 or 6 days until the West Indian Mail Steamer arrives to start for New Zealand. Expects this letter to find Frank at Uncle henry's at Abington on the 23rd. He hopes that Frank will write to one or other of the party fully as he can tell them so much whilst they can tell him so little. Asks him to forward an enclosed letter to cousin Eliza Dowling.Asks him not to forget lessons in handwriting.
