Hodgson of Clopton House: Correspondence and diary notes

Description

From Eliza Hodgson, Panama Grand Hotel, to Frank She talks of the difficulty of writing on the same subject to Frank and to Annie. It is much warmer and she is glad that Panama is healthy enough to stay for a few days in the hotel rathet than go on board the poky steamer. They have met their Captain who knows Sydney well.. She does not think there will be many passengers but hopes that there will be a few as it makes it more lively and hitherto the time has hung very heavy. She speaks of Captain Powell's letter to Arthur, praising Edward and of Edward not being able to see them. Percy is very happy running about, talking to all who will talk to him.
