Description

From Eliza Hodgson (Lilly), Carthona, to Frank Hodgson. She thanks him for the monograms which he has sent to her. She tells him that she is at Miss Cooksey's where Emily spent two years. Mrs Savigny is living there and asks after him.She asks where Frank is going to spend his vacation. She is staying with friends for the June vacation as Mama says that it is too expensive to go up to Brisbane. She is going to try to get a prize in the examinations. She says that Emma Isaacs is to be married and that Mr Isaacs is not expected to live longer than two or three months. There was a Ball at the Knoxes and a Ball at Government House. Clara went to both. It is raining in torrents. Papa sent Frank's last letter to read.Charlotte is having lessons with Emily.
