Description

Notification from Roger de Castro of Haleford, Alice his wife and Robert his son that they have received by lease from Guy de Tilebrok a messuage in Haleford; to hold for the lives of the said Roger and Alice from the said Guy and Robert son of Nicholas de Tillebrok' and the heirs of the said Robert, rendering annually one clove of gillyflower at Easter in lieu of all services; on the deaths of the said Roger and Alice, to hold to the said Robert their son together with half-virgate of land which the said Guy granted to the said Roger and Alice by and indenture for the term of the life of the said Robert their son from the said Guy and Robert son of Nicholas de Tillbrok' and the heirs of the said Robert son of Nicholas, rendering annually 6s. 8d. [4 terms] in lieu of all services; warranty was given by the said Guy and his heirs to the said Roger, Alice and Robert for the said messuage during their lifetimes and after their deaths the said messuage and half-virgate was to revert to the said Guy and Robert son of Nicholas and the heirs of the said Robert.
