Description
Late 14th century copy of a quitclaim from Isabella de Erscote to Ele her sister of a field in Hampton' called Coppethornheth, held from Sir John Pecche knight with adjacent hedges and ditches and also the reversion of a messuage called Colynsyard which was to pass to the grantor after the feast of Margaret Rondych' who held the same for the term of her life by demise from the said Ele; to hold for ever. Dated at Solyull' Sunday on the feast of St. Cecilia the Virgin and Martyr, 23 Edward III. Witnesses: William de Sheldon', Robert de Crowenhale, Henry de Midelmor, William Coppethorn', Adam atte Coppe and others. Latin, parchment, 111/2 x 31/4 in.
