Description

Probate of the will of Anne Hart of Stratford-upon-Avon widow and devisee of Shakespeare Hart therefore of Stratford-upon-Avon Glazier decd. Whereby she devised to her kinsman George Hart of Stratford-upon-Avon Turner her seven messuages in Henley Street subject to the payment of legacies to Testatrix daughter in law Mary Hart widow an granddaughter Katherine (daughter of said Mary) and testatrix bequeathed the residue of her personal estate to the said George Hart whom he appointed her sole Executor Signed by the mark of Anne Hart in the presence of John Court, William Elderton and Peter Strathern. Proved the 24th April 1754 by George Hart in the Peculiar Court of Stratford-upon-Avon. Seal of red wax and paper indecipherable.
