Description

Indenture of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 12th Deceased 1816 (being a mortgage) whereby George Barke of Stratford upon Avon Gent conveyed to John Reason theretofore of Grove Park but then of Stratford upon Avon Gent and his heirs for ever the premises described in No 80/95 subject to a proviso for redemption upon repayment of the sum of £3123-16-0 by George Barke to John Reason which sum was made up of £2606-9-6 owing by George Barke to John Reason upon an account stated and £517-6-6 being principal and interest owing upon the mortgage described in No 80/95 to John Ward which had been satisfied by the said John Reason. And by the same Indenture John Ward of Oxhill Gent in consideration of £517-6-6 paid to him by John Reason in satisfaction of the mortgage described in No80/97 and at the direction of John Reason and George Barke assigned to term of 1000 years in the premises described in No80/95 to Kelynge Greenway of Warwick Gent in trust for John Reason to attend the inheritance and further Thomas Cresswell of Stratford upon Avon Gent at the direction of George Barke and John Reason assigned the term of 2000 years in the same premises vested in him by No 82/97 to George Cattell Greenway of Warwick Gent in trust to attend the inheritance. Lease by George Barke to John Reason of same premises for one year. Signed George Barke. Seal and witnessed as before.
