Description

Chronologically arranged 'Theatregoround' documentation including programmes, leaflets, memoranda etc linked by narration provided by Peter Kemp (administrator of 'Theatregoround') (Box 1); also duplicate 'Theatregoround' documents and photographs, with scripts for 'Hollow Crown', 'Pleasure and Repentance', 'The Moderns' (first draft), 'Room for Company' (two scripts), 'Exit, Pursued by a Bear', 'The Elizabethans' (four used scripts); programme/display card for 1970 'Theatregoround' festival at the Roundhouse (Box 2).

Also included in Box 2 is a later accession, a note from Peter Kemp (16/06/2019), providing information about a building constructed for Michael St Denis, which later became the first 'The Other Place'. This note seeks to correct a statement published in the Daily Telegraph Online 'How a decrepit tin hut transformed the RSC: Buzz Goodbody and The Other Place' by Rupert Christiansen (21/03/2016).
