A new Song for the Theatre set by Mr Henry Purcell, the words by several learned wits, of whose number Mr Dembovitz

Printed music for ' A new Song for the Theatre'. At the bottom of the second page: 'Printed by Rich. Springate, for Henry Playford at his shop near the Temple Church, 1695'. A note by Jane Woolfenden suggests this song was written by Richard Springate, a violinist with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), and concerns a missed or late music cue. Undated.
