Description

Lease from Nicholas Brome of Baddusley Clynton' esq. to Thomas Marowe serjeant-at-law of the manor of Baddusley Clynton and all other lands belonging to the said Nicholas in Baddusley excepting the park and deer and other things within the said park, the `Wodsakes' of Heywode, Tylehouse grove, Gilberdes grove and two other groves. To hold the same from the feast of the Annunciation of our Lady next coming for 21 years rendering annually £13. 2s. 10d. to the said Nicholas at the feasts of Michaelmas and the Annunciation of our Lady in equal portions. The said Nicholas to have the right of distraint if the said rent was in arrears for three weeks, and the right of re-entry if in arrears beyond a quarter and three days. The said lease to be void on the death of the said Nicholas, and the said Thomas to have all necessary wood and fuel for the manor house of Baddusley and also `housebote', `placebote' and `cartebote' or anything else necessary for the mansion house of the manor.
