Indenture of mortgage by ffulke ffisher of the parish of Hallow, co. Worcs., gentleman, to William Coxe, gentleman, one of the Masters of St. Paules School, London, in consideration of £100 of the messuage and lands situate in Hidcott Barthram in the parish of Mickleton, co. Gloucs., then or late in the occupation of ffulke ffisher by demise of a term of 99 years at a peppercorn rent, the mortgagers undertaking to include indemnification for anything done by his late father Thomas ffisher, deceased, provided always that, if ffulke ffisher paid William Coxe £112 in the then dwelling house of John Brooke, gentleman, in Old Stratford, co. Warwick, in specified instalments before and on 23 July 1660, the above arrangement should be void. Signed: ffoulke ffisher. Seal: missing. Witnesses: John Brooke, Chr: Smithe, Edward Pitway. Endorsed with the following memoranda: 1. Memorandum that Christopher Smithe of Stratford upon Avon for Wm. Coxe received from ffulke ffisher £103 in full discharge of the mortgage, and by order of Wm. Coxe delivered this writing of mortgage to ffrancis Keyt, who had lately bought the lands in question, 1 October 1663. Signed: Chr: Smithe. 2. Memorandum that Wm. Coxe, having received full satisfaction from ffulke ffisher, by consent of the latter assigned to ffrancis Keyt of Barton on the heath, co.
